The Revelation
I was wondering if it was possible to mount a lingenfelter twin turbo 427 small block (the 350 bored and stroked) in a 240z. I mean i know that anything is possible as someone once said i was just wondering if the project would be somewhat moderate in difficulty level. fastzcars
Well, the 427 can be installed, but the plumbing for the twin's will have to be custom made. There are 2 or 3 members here who have done it. So it can be done. BUT of course, how deep are your pockets.
dr_hunt
With two members running N/A motors altitude corrected in the 8's and 9's, one of them being myself, I have to ask why do you want to go TT 427 cubes since that combination is surely capable of 1200HP? Are you my evil twin?
Mikelly
We had this same discussion over the weekend when I was at that little Dyno day. The question always arises when someone wants to have "the most" hp possible. Two questions come to mind... What do you plan to do with the car? Are you (Be honest here) going to do all that power REAL justice? I know I was barely holdin' my own when driving my C5 when it was making 335/353. Now with 386/382, I bet it would be MUCH more difficult to drive properly. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I'm giving huge props to the guys with the lower HP cars that are like velcro to my bumper! fastzcars
Ya it's been done. One member is Turbo Meister, the other is Silcone Boy. Although they are using sbc 383's not a 427. But with twin turbos' who needs a 427.
