Dp351zcar
Just wondering if you have any news on what your going to do? Kinda wondering if anybody has tested what a "2.95 alloy gear set" will handle. Don
cobraz240z
My friend has a WC T5 in his mustang and he has ran 10's on the 1420 and when I ran 11's on mine and the 3rd gear when out the gear got stuck and would not come out I have the trans it needs a rebuilt but you could have it for $50 if you want it I would just go the the wrecking yard and get 1 for $100 pick your part is having a 50% off sale on the 10-
HICKL
Hey Don, I don't think I have any real options. The general consensus is that nobody sells any improved gears for a non-w/c gm t5. I will probably just rebuild it again and drive nicely till I can afford a real tranny.
Dp351zcar
I was wondering if the non W/C had the same case as the W/C. If it does than you could put in the Gforce kit or the 2.95 Alloy kit in. Call Hanlon and they can tell you if it will fit. Is the chevy T5 diffrent in the length of the input shaft or is it just the spline count and the diameter diffrent? Could you just use a clutch disk for a ford to fit the shaft and use the ford T5. I don't know what the diffrences are between the two so this is why I am asking. Just ideas.
