deja
How do you tell the difference? I have a '77 280Z and I know the manual has a R200 but the automatic has a R180. My car was purchased with a SBC installed and I don't know what it started life as. Can you tell which diff I have from this really bad pict? CruxGNZ
From that picture, I would hazard a guess and say you have an R200. Does the differential cover look like a stop sign or more of a rectangle?

skipzoomie
Look on the side of the diff where the axles attach. The R180 has a five bolt flange on each side. The R200 has no flange.
