MIBPreacher
If anyone owns a 84-89 300zx, could you please tell me where the security light is? I for the life of me cannot find it in my haynes or a fsm i found, they describe it but it is not lit on mine and I wonder if its unplugged. thanks
Sparks280zt
Im not sure what you mean by security light, but if you mean the light that lights up and blinks when you turn the system on, it is on the right side of the main gauge cluster, near the bottom. MIBPreacher
Do you have the digital cluster or the needle cluster (i have this one)? Can anyone give a reference point? ie 1 inch above the coolant light. Thanks!
Sparks280zt
I have the needle cluster. I will take a pic of the light on later tonight.
MIBPreacher
OK I found the light, but it doesnt turn on, so I think tomorrow I will first check for a possible blown fuse, and secondly, I will pull the pass seat up and check there, I found a small 4 wire connector in front under the pass seat that was not connected, and I know I have a little bit larger one not plugged in, towards the back. While I was working on my turnsignal problem, (intermittently turns on by itself, I was able to do the lazy headlight mod, looks pretty cool. MIBPreacher
I checked under the seat and the two security boxes were hooked up as was the amp. I checked my fuses and I noticed the "Autolock" had no fuse. I put a 20a fuse in it and now my security light blinks on my dashboard when the car is turned off. Cool. Only problem is, thats all it does. Bummer
