Hot Rod mag doing a 10 month body repair article

FYI Hot Rod mag is starting with the april edition a 10 month series of articles on body work and restoration. I get this 'rag' and looks like it might be worth while for those who need to learn.

Hopefully it turns out to be better than their Paint and Body special edition, which was little more than a huge ad for Goodmark Industries.

That issue had some cool paint jobs, but there really was nothing of value in it. Is Car Craft still a useful publication? My dad used to subscribe to that, maybe I'll have to look into it.

I went on a business trip this week and picked up the April edition of Hot Rod for something to read on the plane. I hid the magazine until I was seated so as to avoid the stares a 43 year old man gets when seen reading a rag like this.

 

Here is a summary of the first article in the series on paint and body work.

-If you're going to do this you need a lot of patience

-You can either strip to the bare metal or paint over good origional paint.

-The hardest part is the prep work- you need a lot of patience.

-Boy, you need a lot of patience.

-Please buy lots of stuff from Goodmark Industries.

Is Car Craft still a useful publication? My dad used to subscribe to that, maybe I'll have to look into it.

 

I had a subscription for Car Craft for many years up until acouple months ago. New editor, new writers(yet again) and the format has changed alot. I suddenly lost interest. Check it out. It may have just become more geared towards demographics other then myself.

Maybe I'll have to get back into Hot Rod again.
