Guest vanir97
Now I looked in the search section but this question is different. I have a 355SBC/JTR setup. I am running a 15lb Holley Projection pump with a Holley bypass regulator set at 4lbs to the carb (Edelbrock 600) Timing is set at 8BTDC and everything else that I think needs to be checked (plug wires, plugs, etc) checkout. Car idles and sounds like my wife's WRX. it has that Boxer chug, chug, chug idle sound. Accelerates well, and runs well, but that idle sound is driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated. Alf
get a vacuum gage and tune the idle mixture screws for the highest vacuum.
Pop N Wood
Could be vacuum leaks. Make sure all hoses are in good shape and nothing is loose. Get a can of starter fluid or propane and start checking the intake parts for leaks.
GAZRNR
After you verify there are no vacume leaks you may want to bump the timing to 10-12 and 6 PSI fuel pressure. That's what I am running on a similar setup.
