naviathan
Usually what your gauge reads isn't very accurate. The sending units tend to go bad and start sending low/fluctuating signals. My 81ZX sits at50/60 at idle and jumps as high as 80/90 when moving.
Pilgrim
I've had 4 L6 Z-cars. Every one idled at indicated pressure that's quite low (20 PSI or less), and runs in the 50-60 PSI range at road speed. As noted above, oil pressure sending units in these have a high failure rate, so if your readings are odd, replace the sending unit. It takes about 5 minutes to change them.
