dat240zg
I'm plumbing the braided fuel lines right now and was thinking of mounting the fpr on the firewall about 6" to the right of the battery box. S&P makes this rear exit fuel line kit for the LT1 and it looks like it would really neaten things up, instead of having fuel lines running up the entire side of the motor. Here's a pic from their catalouge: Anyone have experience or route their fuel lines a different way? Bryan
Bartman
My fuel lines exit at the rear (that's the way it came from the factory), but they exit facing up. This required me to modify my fuel rail covers as you can see in this picture. I like the look of the picture you posted with the lines hidden under the fuel rail cover. 78zlt1
I have been wanting to look into this also, I was told that the LT1 fuel rails for the corvette exited on the right side instead of the left as on the F-bodies, I just havent done any research on it yet. jbc3
I had AN-8 fittings welded to the back of my fuel rails years ago and have never had a problem. I use a Paxton FPR mounted on the firewall. Jody
dat240zg
Jody: Would you mind taking a pic or two for reference? Are your rails the stock rails? I saw that Aeromotive makes a kit for the LT1 with billet rails. I wonder how much it would cost to make a set of rails from billet stock. Just rambling... jbc3
Here is an old picture from when I was just putting the motor in the Z. I tried to isolate the regulator and rail. You should be able to get a good idea from this. Jody
