Turbo280Zcar
Hye guys, Stupid question from a guy who should know. I'm installing cross drilled and slotted rotors. Which way does the pattern go / or facing the front fo the car? Thanks Chris http://www.zanyz.net
johnc
Doesn't matter. Do what looks nice to you. If the rotors are vented and the internal venting has a pattern then follow the manufacture's directions. If no directions, the vanes should trail the hubs like this: /
2126
I had the same question when I was installing my slotted rotors (fronts are vented but with straight vanes). I called a number of brake manufactures with great reputations and the answers I got were / and , depending on the manufacture. So I have to agree with John's reply....."Doesn't matter. Do what looks nice to you." I decided to go with the inner point of the slots leading. Currently I'm see certain manufactures using a squiggle type slot pattern that do not extend to either the inner or outer edge of the rotors. I suspect the important thing is to just have a travel path for the hot gases to escape from between the pads and rotors.
Turbo280Zcar
Thanks guys, These are not vented so no issue on which way the vein goes. I guess I'll go with / for now. Stay cool and thanks again C
