Datsun350Z
Sweet Ride... Nice on the outside, business on the inside. How much weight do you think the aluminum dash saves you? Also, did you junk your old wiring? I'm thinking about doing the aluminum dash, and might also get rid of my old wiring at the same time, and using one of the "painless wiring kits" instead. Also... Do you have any pictures of the exhaust coming from the headers and how you routed it under the car? I just got my sidepipes in today, and i'm planning on going to the muffler shop this weekend. I'd like to see how tight it is. Thanks.
v80z
I would say the stock dash and wiring was about 50 - 75 lbs maybe more. I completely took out all the wiring up to the stock plugs for lights and wipers. That is I clipped the wiring harness out and left long pigtails on all the stock wiring plugs Then I wired it by hand. Not pretty. I have hot terminal block under the dash. I ran hot legs with inline fuses off the terminal block to switches for ign dash lights fuel pump fan lights wiper. I dont like my exhaust and will redo it under the car. I got a good deal on the pipes and it was one less thing to worry about during the main build. http://68.10.5.69:8081/v80z/CV/index.html that is the only pic I got online now. I can take some. It does a 90 straight back from the blockhugger the another 90 back out behind the front wheels. Really close to the tires.
