mikeatrpi
Both side windows on my zx are leaking when it rains or I wash the car. I'd like to remove them, clean and reinstall. Is there any trick to removing them or cleaning, and is this the correct adhesive? Thanks in advance!
LS1 240Z
nah, you just start taking them appart, there are like 4 or 6 screws holding them into the car, and then when you get them out, rip off the rubber around the outside, find the 2 screws and undo them, be careful not to break your welds though, i applied to much force and i broke mine, now i gotta weld them up
COZY Z COLE
Nissan used butyl sealant on the 280ZX side windows. Do a search for this product on Google. If you want I could post the page from my 80 280ZX FSM on the correct procedure of removing and installing the side window glass. mikeatrpi
Thanks, I actually have the FSM and found the correct pages after I posted (go figure). I will try to find butyl sealant at the local stores. Mike
Phantom
If all else fails you can get it from either your local Nissan dealership or an Autoglass repair shop.
