LeeMS
With the engine and transmission out of the doner car,95 firebird lt1 t56, time for and new clutch. The engine will have stock internals, anybody have recommendations on after market clutch systems like a Spec stage one, Zoom etc? Looks like prices range from $240 to $440. Any one had bad experiance with aftermaket units? Would there be a huge advantage with a light weight aluminum flywheel? Looking the best bag for the buck. Bartman
I bought a stage one from eBay like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RACING-STAGE-1-CLUTCH-KIT-93-97-CAMARO-FIREBIRD-LT1_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33730QQihZ005QQitemZ150026761968QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I haven't been too hard on it yet, so we'll have to see how well it holds up. They also sell the stockers for $200 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VALEO-93-97-CAMARO-FIREBIRD-TRANS-AM-LT1-Clutch-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33730QQihZ005QQitemZ150026743641QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I picked mine up, since they're close by, and they seem like a good company to deal with. mark
I've had the SLP stuff (clutch PP and flywheel) in my car for years and it has held up very well.
