wickiewicked240z
This is my first time paint im not using a HVLP gun. I sprayed the PPG epoxy primer i got orange peel. Do i sanded until smooth or do i wait after i do my body filler work..or can i just leave it like that, im planning on spraying it with some filler primer after im done with my body filler work.. one more thing can i spray more epoxy primer on the car if the primer is already dried or do i need to sand to get it to stick.... do i sand the epoxy when im ready to spray the primer filler? AK-Z
I think it should be fine after the body filler and filler primer. I suggest you sandit very lightly and then put on a layer of filler primer before you body fill. This will help in not sanding throught the epoxy when sanding the filler. mikeatrpi
You'll have a hard time sanding the epoxy, especially if it is still fresh. Usually the manufacturer specifies a recoat window... IE, spray on top of this within 3 days or else you have to scuff and reapply. Just leave it... do your filler then scuff the rest of the car and spray a shot of epoxy (if the instructions say to) then your hi-build.
