Guest DeadlyImpulse07
I just picked up a 1983 280ZX non turbo, and ive been looking around the internet for a turbo kit, like a bolt-on or a conversion kit. and i haven't found anything yet. Any suggestions on where to find, or what i can do to make my baby a turbo beast? Ok, so next question, should i try to just find the parts that make a ZX-T? or would it be easier to go find a good ZXT engine at a junkyard and just re-build and upgrade the parts? or is there an easier way? any more suggestions? dr_hunt
Yup, watch for upcoming hybridz auctions to be posted in the classified section as soon as I get my happy butt in gear and take pic's of the parts. Complete turbo setup made for high boost. Probably by next week!
veritech-z
I don't think there are too many aftermarket kits because the factory ones are so plentiful, and seem to be fine to most people's street (notice I said street) car power goals. All the cool stuff like the Trust twin turbo manifold was designed for RHD cars, so it doesn't fit too well on US models. seems like www.rhdjapan.com had some turbo stuff at one point. GOTHALOSISM
I heard you can pull a turbo and an ic from a 94 eclipse. Not sure about anything else though. You'd prob need to go megasquirt for the injection system plus other things. Best way is to get a zxt motor and hardware.
