Xcert
Hey, i've been lurking these forums considering which swap I want to do to a Z, and we'll I just need one question answered before I go into the long... laborous yet joyful duties of an engine swap. Does anyone know the weight balance of an SR20 240Z, with full interior (ie not stripped out) and when fully stripped. Thanks again!
JMortensen
Welcome to Hybrid Z. The SR20DET is becoming a pretty popular swap so there is quite a bit of info here already. I used the search button at the top of the screen and searched for "weight distribution SR" and found lots of good info. The 4th thread down with that search was this one: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104720 where John Coffey talks about his own L6 Z vs Amirs SR20DET Z that John's shop Beta Motorsports built. There might be other info if you do the same search and read the other threads. Search before you post in the future, and there is a pretty good chance you'll find what you're looking for. SR240Z
one of our customers got his car weighed in at 2250 lbs full interior with stock suspension and half tank of gas. 49/51 weight distribution. http://www.vildinimotorsport.com/gallery/justin240z.html
Xcert
Thanks for the welcomes, and I forgot about searching. Thanks Jon for the valuable information, and all I need now is a Z to splurge money into. -Tenny

SR240Z
That depends on your suspension setup and the kind of tire you are putting the power down with. On our 510whp 240z, when we went to autox with it on the 225/45/16 Advan A048 R Compound tires, i was bouncing off the rev limiter in 2nd every time i mashed on it from breaking traction.
