Go By for Intercooler Piping Flow Loss.

From the chart you can see about the flow loss for 100 ft of pipe. 400 CFM is equal to 8K RPM on a L28. This is just a go by to see around how much flow loss you can expect and is not going to be exact.

Pressure drop in a 100 ft pipe with compressed air entering at 100 psig can be found in the table below:

Free Air Inflow Volume Flow at Standard Conditions

(SCFM) Nominal Pipe Size - schedule 40 (inch)

400 CFM

Pipe Size PSI Loss

1 = 32.2

1 1/4 = 3.6

2 = 1.0

02 1/2 = 0.4

3 = 0.1
