rytherwr
Installed fuel injection on the hotrod from an outfit called MassFlo and am highly pleased with the results. Uses computer and sensors from 86-93 Ford Mustang, Mass Air Flow sensor from corvette with signal conditioner between it and the Ford EEC so it can read them, a Victor Jr single plane modified for the system and a 1000 cfm throttle body/42 lb injectors. Installation was straight forward and easy and most impressive, the car didn't turn over twice before it started. I made all the adjustments, took it to the track and ran low 6.70's in the eighth all night long. Keep in mind, this is a 10:1 compression street motor that I run on 93 octane pump gas. Seemed like I could get some more out of it, so I took it down to Panhandle Performance in Lynn Haven FL and had Mark dyno tune it. Found it was rich across the board, fixed that and also found the ignition was breaking up around 5400 rpm. Put an MSD box on it and fixed that problem and ran like gang busters. I'm going to try to get to the track Sunday and see what the difference is. It feels much stronger everywhere and I am totally happy with the result, especially the driveability on the street. Will update when I run it. No hp numbers from the dyno...) However, the engine shipped with a sheet that showed 600 hp and 575 lb/ft at the flywheel with the carburetor. Guest Mike
Hey... their SBC setup is ON SALE right now for $2595. I'm no expert but the system looks pretty darned nice to me!!
rytherwr
Mike,,,that is one of the reasons I picked it up....They are going to their own manifold with cast-in bosses so Chris was offering the Victor Jr based systems at a $500 discount. Works well.... Wayne
DavyZ
I'd love to see some pics of that set up. The cost is pretty reasonable, especially considering you can get some grat power out of it. Also, post your new times when you can; I'd love to hear how it's working now. Davy

BBC cubic inches in a SBC package with fuel injection...MMmmm tasty! All it needs now is one fat turbo for some boost I can hear driveline parts just snapping away! rytherwr
Many thanks for the props...I appreciate...Performance so far is great...drove it to the track last Sunday, dropped tire pressure, ran 6.7679, a 6.7682, and a 6.74 in the heat of the day, aired the tires back up and drove home. I'm running 4.11's at the time, however, I have some 4.86's on their way and have yet to install the long-tube headers...not sure if they will help or hinder, we'll see. DavyZ, I feel confident that nitrous or boost wouldn't hurt the drivetrain...I'm running a Godley built Powerglide/converter, Currie driveshaft with 1350 universals, a nine-in Ford with Tru-Trac and 31 spline Moser axles, and a four-link. That stuff won't break for a while..... However, I would be leery of running anything because the bore on this thing is 4.250 and that doesn't leave a whole lot between cylinders....I would be afraid I would blow a head gasket pretty easy. The bottom end is all forged, so I wouldn't be worried about that. Wayne
