nish
I saw this header: (it's an aftermarket stainless header for the jeep 4.0) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1993-93-Jeep-Cherokee-4-0L-Stainless-Exhaust-Manifold_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33632QQihZ006QQitemZ160049141134QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V It made me wonder if it could be hacked up and made to fit the L28 with a T3 flange. Do you think it would flow enough better than stock to be worth the trouble based on the picture in the auction? I personally don't mind a fabrication challenge as long as it will pay off. Dtsnlvrs
You might be better off just having one made...You will be happier in the long run.
Tony D
All I got to say is "note the placement of the expansion bellows..."
pete280z
The factory headers before 1999(?) didn't have any accomodation for expansion. The header on my 1997 4.0L TJ lasted about 70,000 miles before it broke apart. Later they added something to take care of that.
Tony D
I'm just mentioning it for the same reason on our turbos... Eurospec Turbo Manifolds had expansion bellows on them, and didn't break the end studs like our US Spec units do... The Euro Header (NLA, of course!) is set up for more severe duty and more horsepower/flow out of the box than the US / JDM model.
myplasticegg
I'de say to take the time and fine an Euro spec one. Make some calls to people in Europe on ebay... maybe they can search the yards for you.
