HoustonZ
Okay, I really only need the runners. I'm working on an m90 supercharger project, and plan on chopping the stock lower portion of the manifold to adapt it. Anyone have a cheap one laying around? mario_82_ZXT
Don't you have access to lots of metal working machinery? I'd make my own, the runners of the stock intake are too restrictive, and can't be opened up much. I have one but it has the webbing... HoustonZ
I've been considering it, but that's a lot more work. At this point, I'm trying to decide if 8psi or so off the supercharger is worth constructing an entirely new runner system.
back-to-zcars
Can you post info on your supercharger conversion? Are you planning to feul inject or use a carb on the back of the m90? Why are you expecting only 8 psi when a smaller (m62) can give 15 to 25 psi? Which side of the are you mounting the blower on? Any of your thoughts would be helpfull. Lunar240z
If you haven't thought of it yet. The other way to do it is to use a 4barrel intake. since more than likely there's an m90 that will fit without cutting. thats the way the other guy did it, i'm pretty sure...can't remember the username though. HoustonZ
It's on a '77 L28 FI. I was thinking of 8psi as a target because won't I have problem with detonation if it's any higher. Keep in mind I won't be running an intercooler. 4 barrel is a possibility. I honestly have no idea which way to go. The fabrication is the easiest part for me. I just need someone holding my hand telling me what to make
back-to-zcars
You could use an SU HD8 on the back of the m90 should bolt on with an adapter and you would not have to change the shell of the supercharger. then build a plenum between the blower and original SU intakes from a 70-74 z Dave
280zedx
FYI - an M62 will give you around 8-12psi and the M90 will put you closer to 20psi depending on the pulley ratios. as well, if your going through all the fabrication work definately use runners without the baffles. good luck.
