rztmartini
After picking up my donor 83ZXT auto, I wanted to use the oil cooler on my N42. I took the oil cooler/filter thing that goes onto the block that the oil lines come out of and the filter screws onto...confusing, i know...anyways i wanted to put it on the N42 block that is in the car now so i can run the oil cooler but the block has the male end for the filter and the cooler unit has a male end that screws into the block. can i remove one of these male ends and attach it directly or will this not fit onto the block? also on this "filter relocator" thing, there seems to be holes on the sides for an auxiliary oil feed but they have plugs in them (threaded). does anyone know which side i should use when feeding the turbo? i wanted to take filtered AND cooled oil, will this be possible with one of those holes? will have pics later in case anyone is confused... Tony D
yes, use a pipe extractor to remove fitting in the block, and the adapter screws right on---just like on the Euro Cars.
