roger.svoboda Posted December 13, 2006 Share Posted December 13, 2006 the rocker has to be on the part of the cam that is not part of the lobe. the whole purpose is to give some lost motion so that when the linkages ectc. heat up to operating temperature it assures that the valve is not being held open when on the non lobe portion of the cam.
