Locked Right rear brake

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with my brake problem. I have a 1971 240. I was driving two weeks ago and the right rear brake locked up. I checked the e-brake but it was, and is not engaged. A friend suggested replacing the wheel cylinder, which I did. The rear wheel is not locked any longer, but there still seems to be quite a bit of drag on the wheel. I remember the brake pedal pulsing with changes in rpm, just before this happend. I have done a V-8 swap and some frame modifications, but have not gotten to the brakes yet. I was going to do a disc conversion this summer, as I don't have the time or money right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It is the brake shoes rubbing, specifically the rear shoe. I did not adjust the pads back in. I will give that a try. Has anyone used the disc brake conversion sets from Arizona Z Car, or Motorsport Auto?

Thank you for the help Pop N Wood

Hey Mark...

Change of subject... did your car get featured last month

on the Stockton Record?

If so...it's very nicely done. You're car is the beige car right?

Also, I thought they were featuring the Sacramento Kings

coache's car (you know, Musselman)!

Problem solved. Thanks for the help!

My Z was featured in the Modesto Bee in December 2006. It is silver. I wish I knew the Kings Coach, I might be able to see them play.
