gretchen/jason
Very nice man . Ive got a BG blower carb when ya tune a carb it works great Bg carb has been the best ive ever had from edelbrock to holley . Say those valve covers man are they custom or something . they look like the first gen valve covers but ya seem to have some kind of cover over them or something very nice though . v80z
They are cheapy 2 pieces valve covers i bought to adjust rockers due to solid lifters and yes it is a 1st gen sbc. Yeah I gotta get my throttle linkage setup goos and do some grinding on my dizzy clamp. But she is holding water so that is good. So far I am very pleased with the setup. I will post the new dyno results when I get them. Man send pics of your setup. From the looks of the avatar it looks very interesting. Do you have a webpage or a spec page some where? DavyZ
I hope that sucker runs as good as it looks! Looks like the business and that Demon carb--ashame you have to put an air filter on such a beautiful thing. Please post the dyno results after tuning it. v80z
the last dyno made 283rwhp @ 4000 rpm and 330 ft/lbs Davy and Jason today's initial test run showed some backfire during of throttle events. Does this mean to rich of an idle setting?

Seeing as i have the only running V8 z in colorado springs that i know of it gets lots of attention . and the usual crap My dad or cousin or back in the day i owned one with a V8 etc etc is alot of what i hear . buZy
Jason, That does look cool! Know what you mean about having the only running V8 Z in town. In St.Paul it's all chevelle camaro mustangs and gangster rice. 240 what??? Someone once asked me if it was an old maserati. I said yes. gretchen/jason
Ha i was asked once if it " my 280" was a old honda !!!! I have a sticker on the rear hatch glass that say 350Z in numbers about 5 inches tall . One guy said to me " Hey ya know that isnt a 350z dont ya ? I relate the 350 to the cubic inches of the block and the Z well its a z . Im thinking of scraping it off and changing it to 280SS or 280Zss or something different anyways . lbhsbZ
Thats the same manifold I just bought. I'm assuming that there is no way in hell the hood will shut, especially not with an air cleaner on it. I imagine you're using some kind of a scoop....do you have any pics of your hood?
v80z
Yeah I have been trying to figure out which way I want to go. It will shut with no air cleaner but not alot of clearance there. I was thinking to cut hole to fit just the air cleaner throught and then get a cheap scoop. something inexpensive like this: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2D470090&N=700+400304+1003+115&autoview=sku
gretchen/jason
Same her my hood " Aftermarket fiberglass cowl scoop " Barley fits with a custom intake . So i bought another scoop to add on top of mine to make it 7 inches tall to clear the smallest air filter i could get with still keeping enough CFM air flow . 280Zone
Shameless plug but my hood clears my carb and airfilter so much I think I am going to need a carb spacer. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101130
