Hey Hey,

Does anyone know what is the absolute biggest tire/wheel combo that can fit on a 260Z two seater without any body modifications or suspension alterations?

Thanks.

Hi Gonzo,

What size rim?? 14" 15" 16"

I'm running 14/60/235's and it does not rub.

With 245's it probably would with out removing the lip.

Welcome aboard!!!!!

Dave

I ran 245/45ZR16 on custom made (16" X 8") wheels on my '75 with stock diameter springs, unmodified fenders lips, and struts. I had about a pinkie's width between the spring/tire/fender. I used an slightly different offset between the front and rear wheels, but it was only about 1/4" difference. It never rubbed.

I am using 245/60R15's in the back, with msa springs that have 1/2 coil removed. I rolled the fender lip up, pretty easy to do with a hammer.

It rubs a little bit when I hit a hard bump, but otherwise it is fine. I have about 1/8" between the tire and the stock spring perch.

if you have nice paint dont do this

the baseball bat rolling trick works really well on a z, that thin sheetmetal rolls up real nice. im only running 225/60/15 on a 7"rim, and i could maybe stick a lower profile 245 in there, maybe like a 50series tire. the fronts i cant get more than a 215/60/15, but i think i need some more adjustment up there though.

17's and even 18's have been put on z's before (not sure at what point coil-overs become mandatory to do so though).

Regards,

Lone
