gjc5500
1st i want to confirm that its the MC. i was driving and when i was sitting at the stop the car died and jerked forward. fluild started dripping out of the peddle box. i inspected after i got it home*about 20 min ago* and noticed the rubber thing on the back of the MC(in the car)was moving with the rod attacted to the peddle. the fluid is leaking from where this attaches. shoudl i get the rebuild kit*12$* or jusat get a new one for about 50$? technicalninja
Get a new one. aluminum bore wears and I have not had a "rebuild kit" last very long on any aluminum bore. Steel cylinders take rebuild kits much better All Nissan CMs that I have run across are aluminum.
gjc5500
the mc looks like its about a year old. i rebuilt it already
blueovalz
I'd inspect the bore thoroughly. The aluminum may, or may not, be pitted. If it is still smooth, rebuild it.
