darkangel23
Hi, Im new to this site so bare with me. I have a 1981 nissan 280zx turbo and it will start and then I will drive it about 500 feet and it will shut itself off. I took my Z to a nissan dealer and they are telling me that it is the crankshaft sensor. I was just wondering how hard is it to change that out and if anyone can tell me how to do it thanks
nismopick
What city are you in? Have you checked out the ZCOU forum? http://www.zclubofutah.com Anyway, the CAS isn't hard to replace & you can prolly find one on ebay for cheap. Let me know where you are... anywhere near Bountiful / Salt Lake, and I could swing by.

nismopick
Pretty freaking simple. Just 2 or 3 bolts.
darkangel23
So where is it located or do you have a picture of one and where it is
nismopick
Page 119 of the Haynes manual. If ya don't have a 280zx haynes manual... you need one. It's on the side of the crank pulley below the distributor.
