HICKL
I am trying to order a rear brake cylinder and the auto parts guy is asking if I need the 11/16 dia or 13/16 dia. The car is at home so I can't check. Does anybody know what would be standard on my 76'? thanks
Dragonfly
I do not know the answer but I do have a suggestion. If you can get both sides and just replace both instead of just one. If it turns out to be the wrong size it should not be an issue because both sides are still the same size. Dragonfly
HICKL
I've just recently replace the other, guess I should have done both then. Thanks for the idea though, anyone else know?
evildky
not sure on the diameter, I believe the 76 had the single piston which I assume is the larger bore, I believe it was mid 77 before they swithced to the dual piston wheel cylinder, which I would guess is the smaller diameter seeing as it has to push 2 pistons, easy enought o looa at them and tell the difference if they have one or the other in stock, completely different animals honestly I never knew or thougth about the diameter being different but the 70-early 77 used the single piston and then they switched to the dual
HICKL
thanks, nobody has them in stock so I have to order them. I'll take mine apart and figure it out, I was trying to get them on order yesterday but no big deal. Thanks Jeff
