I checked the tag# at http://www.5speeds.com/t5/ and it verified this. the tag# is 12-52-047. Production would say anything produced after 9/83 would federally be classed as a 1984 model...so perhaps it's just a late 83 Tranny. I have seen '1984' ZXT's, titled that way at least. Federal Rules for production dates on imports usually run September to September for 'model year' changes. Why would it matter, anyway-is there an ulterior motive?
