SHADY280
so i was looking around jegs the other day and came across this http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_84578_-1 i was wondering if anyone has tried it? its only 314 bux, not bad for what it says it does. it sounds like the same type of lsd that ford uses on there crown vic cop cars. these take a beating and hold it together (trust me)
JMortensen
It's not the same as the Ford Traction-Lok that has the S spring in between the side gears. This is a couple of plates and springs that just push straight against the side gears to limit slip. The Traction-Lok has clutches that can be replaced when they wear. The Phantom Grip does not. If you search it has been discussed before at some length. My personal opinion, not having used one myself, it's a really crappy idea and if you saved up another $200 you could get a very good Power Brute LSD from http://www.differentials.com. lbhsbZ
Ahh, the Phantom Slip. They are a poor man's posi. They sort of work on low horsepower applications....for a little while....Mostly they just wear stuff out faster. Gather up another $60 and buy the OBX unit off of ebay (search for 240SX diff). Its a copy of the quaife unit, and the workmanship isn't the greatest, but mine works very well.
