Jwink25
I am thinking about getting a set of Ceterline wheels but do not want to pay the $200 price tag MSA has on them. Does anybody know where I can get the Sabre Wheels cheaper. I have seen the same style in a Jegs catalog, but the lug spacing is different. Would they be able to get them in the Datsun spacing? Is MSA the only dealer for the Datsun lug spacing on these wheels. What is the wheel off-set and lug spacing on a Datsun Z car. How wide a rim and tire can I put on a stock 240Z. If I put on coilovers how much wider can I go? Thanks for any info you guys can give. Jason W.
Guest Anonymous
Go to www.summitracing.com and on the front page is a search for a part by part number try this: CLL-947806425 Thats a 4x4.5/4x4.25 double drilled wheel in 17 inch. Not sure if thats the size you were looking for, though, it has 5" bs and without going to coil overs I don't think it'll fit but I may be wrong. I'd contact Centerline directly, get the part number and see if Summit racing can hook you up, or another place if you have the part number, no use letting MSA make the profit on it. Mike C
I bought my 16x7 4" backspacing wheels from Summit. It looks like Centerline has discontinued them, but they still have some nice wheels and I think mine were only $156 bucks each vs. the $259 that Motorsport (?!!) wants for Centerlines. Phantom
If you have a Discount Tire store in your area - they have the Center Line catalog and will custom order your wheels. I went through them when I got my 16x7 Trident II's. I got them for about $40/wheel less than MSA. I bought the tires from them at the same time so I have the added benefit of them being obligated to ensure that the set stays balanced. They've had to work hard on it a few times as the combination of lug-centric vs hub-centric wheels and Yokohama S306's are difficult to keep balanced.
