well i did search and came up empty handed

My friend has a set of custom tension rods that were given to him that he doesnt need. they are for his 280zx. they are really nice and he offered them to me for free. my question is will they work as compression rods on my 240z? or atleast is the bolt pattern/length the same?

I have been told by several vendors that precisely zero suspension parts interchange between the S30 and S130.

Except the front strut inserts of course...

Not sure about the answer to the original poster's question, but I think one difference is that the ZX TC rod bolts to the bottom of the control arm and the Z rod bolts to the top. Whether that means that the bolt spacing is different or the length is different to the point where the parts won't swap is something I don't know...

According to the 'piktures' on Victoria British, the S130 ends are shaped more like a 'Y' whereas the S30 are more like an 'F' for the two bolts to the LCA.

Granted, my information was derived from Arizona Z Car shop and every time I talk to them they are arrogant snots if I am not spending several thousand minimum with them so who knows how much they bothered to give me the right info. Heck you can tell from their "FAQ" which is nothing more than an exercise in ridiculing customers who are on the cheap or not knowledgeable. :rolleyesg:icon13:
