TomoHawk Posted July 20, 2002 Share Posted July 20, 2002 It feels like the R. Fr. wheel bounces a little when turning slightly left. Mostly around 30-40 MPH. TomoHawk Posted August 30, 2002 Author Share Posted August 30, 2002 OK, I replaced both front strut cartridges and it stopped bouncing, but started pulling to the right! Got the front wheels aligned too. The guy said he couldn't get it to align correctly and stop pulling right, so he switched frt. wheels and it stopped pulling. Something about "Radial pull." 260DET Posted August 30, 2002 Share Posted August 30, 2002 With stock front suspension, the only 'alignment' that can be done is toe adjustment. Both camber and caster are not adjustable. But your problem could be caused by shot tension rod bushes ie the rubber pads at the rear end of the tension rod body mountings. Replace them with poly equivalents if in doubt, they should not be expensive, unless you are sure on inspection that they are OK. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TomoHawk Posted September 23, 2002 Author Share Posted September 23, 2002 Nope, it was steering rack bushings! I had some new urethane ones put on and all the bouncing was gone. The tires are old, which makes thing (vibrate) a little, but that is something I can take care of in an hour at the 60-minute tire shop.
