jvanen
Hey guys I seem to be having a hard time finding the fitting I need that you screw into the side of the caliper to run a little hard line out of, or heck even a ss flex hose. What did you guys use on your conversions?? Right now my bro is doing the conversion for me while I'm 350 miles away.(I know, he is awesome!) So this the problem he ran into. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me on this one
lbhsbZ
The fitting is a 10x1mm inverted flare. Toyota uses a short section of hard line that screws directly into the caliper, and then the soft hose connects to that. You can get a 10x1 inverted to 3/8-24 male/male adaptor to screw into the caliper that will enable you to use some universal russel brake lines, or you can carefully machine or file the surface of the hole on the caliper and use a 10x1 banjo bolt and a banjo style hose. zcarnut
If you use the banjo fitting then you should remove the flare insert first. It’s pressed into the caliper. Just screw a stout sheet metal screw into it and pull it out.
