Slammed68
My coolant temp sensor wire is cut at the sensor, and I have no clue where it leads to. Can anyone show me a picture or anything of where that wire goes? Its making the car run crazy rich and fouling my plugs.
Warren
What year, what motor, add these items to your signature and never be asked again.
Administrators BRAAP Posted September 13, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2007 In addition to Warren's comments, simple issues such as this can easily be found and remedied using a shop manual. The Haynes manual for the early S-30 car has decent wiring diagrams which makes tracing easy and can be purchased at many auto parts stores or on-line. Slammed68
Sorry I'm kinda new here and haven't had any time to do that. Its a 77 N/A, don't know too much about it, haven't had the time to research the 6 a whole lot. I know on newer cars with a temp sensor unplugged, it makes the cpu think that the coolant temp is like 32* and makes the car run pig rich. Warren
I'm gonna do something that I'm probably gonna get chastised for, that is, spoonfeed you information, only because I have a feeling that your car won't make it to the parts store without fouling plugs under the circumstances, but here goes. Click HERE for all of the Z wiring diagrams available through Autozone's website. If this information doesn't tell you what you need, I'd suggest doing as Paul above has stated and invest in the proper repair manuals for your vehicle. Also, please use the search function on this site BEFORE posting...the answer you're looking for lies in the first page of responses to the search using the term "Temp Sender". BTW, if those are 15" rims on your car and you'd like to move them along, PLEASE let me know. I'm DESPERATELY seeing some like them. Hope it helps.
