260zShooter
Looks like they are 73 240Z, or 74 260Z carbs. In other words garbage.
MrFancypants
Those arent carbs, those are boat anchors. - Greg -
Astral Ace
I have SU's on my '73. I changed them before I drove the car with the flat tops because of all the negatives I've heard. But I have to ask, why are these so bad?
MrFancypants
I believe the main reason is emissions. The 74 flat tops were the last carb'd L series motors until the switch to EFI in 75. - Greg -
Dragonfly
Nissan took the very simple SU style carb and added a bunch of complexity to it in order to try to meet emissions requirements. All the extra stuff added to the carbs caused them to become extremely finicky, they also added a power valve and extra internal metered orafices none of which worked very well.
