I used to build Balsa Gliders when I was younger, but didn't have the money to install the electronics, so they usually got finished, tossed a few times in the park, and then hung from the ceiling for display. Honestly, I enjoyed building them at least as much as I would have flying them. I think a large complex glider is beautiful, especially before you paper-&-dope it.
