Guest da-man (is not!)
I agree completely that a SuperMoto (or "Motard", as those of us Old-schoolers call 'em) would make a great street bike for toolin' around. Allthough I can see myself getting arrested pretty quick for jumpin' cars and s--t. However: I wouldn't want to ride one for any real distance, nor at freeway speed for more than 10 minutes or so. But the whole point would be that with a bike like that, back roads would be more fun!
240hoke
As far as the sumo's If you gear them right they will cruise at 70-75 no problems at all. They are also really compfy since you sit so upright... Im plann on having mine where i can swap back and forth from street to dirt... I wanna take it on the trans-america trail this summer. AGREED. but with their minimal weight, they suck (imho) at that speed, unless it's a short blast donw a straightaway on a track

Photo by Kevin Wing. The Bike was the bike Miguel Duhamel rode to a championship the season before, and also rode in that spring's Daytona 200. I can't wait to come turn a wheel (or 4) on your new track out there with ya! Last time I raced in Colorado, I found myself on my head at turn 8 in Pueblo........ hoov100
the best advise i can give you for buying a street bike is dont, there just not good on the street, they have too much power and you can easily find yourself doing 50-100+ MPH without even noticing. but an enduro or motard..etc are probably your best best for an everyday motorcycle, my personal favorite is a husqy.
