VinhZXT Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Hi guys, My friend's Z ran out of oil in the rear differential and it chewed up the ring gear. Does anyone knows where I can find the replacement ring gear? I need to replace both gears inside the rear end. This is for the CLSD rear. Thanks V. rudypoochris Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 The best bet (that I know of) is to wait for a ring and pinion to become available on Ebay. If not your probably going to need to go to the pick--n-pull or buy a complete R200 and take the gears from that... The carrier does not determine what gears are used. Info on the swap procedure here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119990 As a rule you should NEVER mix rings and pinions, even if they're the same ratio.
