TrumpetRhapsody
So ehhh, what kind of downtime are we talking here? I might need some re-hab if it's going to be too terribly long.

woldson
Request for tool shed is still grinding away, hee hee. You going to back up data base off site "just in case"? Or is that done already?
badjuju
That's a nice setup! Nothing like data redundancy, we've been running Raid 6 everywhere, but that's really overkill. I've never build a dual quad core over 2 ghz, I bet that sucker screams! I've got a server install to do this weekend, the company purchased their server from HP about a year ago, and just brought us on as a consultant. We're installing Small Business Server for them, because all of their email runs through POP3... Not the most secure and certainly not the safest as far as data redundancy is concerned. Also, flip through the list of similar threads... lol

TrumpetRhapsody
I hope this isn't a fluke occurring b/c of the transition to a new server... but the 15 second time restriction on searching appears not to exist anymore. If this was a planned change, god bless you sir! EDIT: Nevermind, it was a fluke.
woldson
So you guys just going to ride this problem out untill you get the new sever in and hope the problems do not transfer over. woldson
Hummmm seems much faster at a glance. Noticed it was out this morning! Is the swap finished?
Administrators BRAAP Posted March 6, 2008 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2008 Boy, girls, you too Ron, Sup-dejour is still working diligently on the server upgrade, so don’t be surprised if you get blank pages or "Server not available." messages from time to time. I’m sure that when Chicken-Noodle finds his keyboard from under the bundle of wires/cables, he’ll give us an update, till he comes up for air and with a public “everything’s A-OKâ€, lets try not to pester him too much. Thank you to all who donated and continue to donate. This new server wouldn't be possible without your help. HybridZ staff
woldson
Ok, sorry. Thanks once again for all the admins and the years of hard work. I know the expense and time it takes so that I can just hang out here with a great group of guys! Thank you again:).
