gretchen/jason
Im running a weiand super charger on a SBC i have no place to hook up my brake booster except for one port which is for the PCV valve . I was thinking on getting the electric vacuum pump for the brake booster but wanted to see if anyone had a better idea . Jason
RB26powered74zcar
Get a vacuum canister from Jegs or Summit, then T it off that vacuum source, thats what I'm using. It comes with a one way check valve.

It comes with a one way check valve. I think his problem is that he doesn't have a vacuum source. I would T off the PCV, if there is absolutly no where else that can be used, even drilled and tapped. jasper
Cadillacs, and diesel engines used belt driven vacuum pumps. Readily available.
getZ
hydroboost.com hydraulic assisted brakes like some trucks have, but I don't know if this would fit in a z car. hook it up to a power steering pump, but if the engine shuts down, its like power brakes without the power assist. You really have to stand on the pedal to get it to stop.
evildky
Z31's had electric vac pumps, but still not needed, don't run a pcv valve, route the breather to a catch can then the pcv opening in your intake can be used for vacume, just be sure to put a checkvalve in so at to keep the boost out of the booster
