bianski
this may be a stupid question but are the head bolts on L28 motors good for more than one use unlike new cars engines wich are only good for one time on then off becuase i was wondering if i could Reuse them thanks guys
Dragonfly
I have in the past reused them and not had a problem with it but that was on a bone stock rebuild. When I built my current engine I purchased brand new "turbo" head bolts. Odds are you will not have a problem reusing the old head bolts but at the same time keep in mind you may have to remove a broken head bolt in the future and make other repairs at the same time. z-ya
You can reuse your old bolts, just clean them up really well, and oil the threads before assembly. You can get new ones from Courtesy Nissan, or after market ARP studs from places like Summit racing.

Evan Purple240zt
On my first N/A I broke two head bolts, its a mother to take it all back apart. Evan BTW, this was with a properly calibrated tq. wrench.
