Zardilla
If anyone has the Nissan part number for the standard r32/32/34 conrods I would appreciate it if you could post it up. I think there is an "assembly" part number that includes bearings and bolts, but I really only need the rods and caps for my rebuild. Thanks Matt
Careless
I'll see if I can get the part number for you later (gotta reinstall Nissan FAST on my comp). You may get better mileage out of a new set of rods from JUN or something. They might be the same price (or cheaper) too =/

Careless
Thanks Raff! No problem. I bought a set of 900hp capable rods from Spool Imports in australia. For the price (600 or so, now), you can't even get standard nissan rods and have them refinished to size (almost all rods need to be, anyway). And the aftermarket ones will probably be better balanced. However, they will come with a larger gudeon pin bore, from what I'm told (21mm). Sooooooooooooo. if you're not upgrading your pistons, go with the RB26 ones. I'll try to make it home early to install the program =)
Zardilla
Raff, I've been trading emails with Quentin about a set of good condition R34 rods he has. I'm hoping to have these refurbished (polished, shot peened, and sized if necessary) and run those. Current lore on the various GTR boards is that stock rods with this type of prep are good up to 600-650 range with a good tune. However, if you can still post the part number that would be great, especially as I would guess others in the HBZ community would like that info. Thanks Matt PS - I've been drooling over a set of Carillos Super A beams to go with the CP pistons I have but my wallet is starting to cry so I'm looking for other cheaper and hopefully sensible options since I am only going to 500hp on my engine. Current lore on the various GTR boards is that stock rods with this type of prep are good up to 600-650 range with a good tune. They will hold to the 680whp that Boozt3d put on them, no doubt. Get some heft rod bolts though! However, if you can still post the part number that would be great, especially as I would guess others in the HBZ community would like that info. Thanks Matt Installing the FAST System now =) PS - I've been drooling over a set of Carillos Super A beams to go with the CP pistons I have but my wallet is starting to cry so I'm looking for other cheaper and hopefully sensible options since I am only going to 500hp on my engine. Yeah I was looking at Carillo's too, but the weight was not that far off from what I was looking for in the spool rods, and about 4 times the price. I guess that's what you pay for a lot better rods, but I'll bite the bullet on the cheap side this time around. I hope it doesn't bite me in the ass. Careless
Hey, I tried to install FAST again, and it's giving me problems. I'll have to clean my registry and try again tomorrow.
Zardilla
No rush - thanks for keeping after this.
Careless
hi Zardilla R32, R33, R34 seem to have the same diagrams and same part numbers in this department! The bearings are not part of the number-tree that is attached to the main part number, therefore I am led to believe that they are not a part of the connecting rod assembly when placing an order. Hope this is what you're lookin' for =)
Zardilla
Terrific - exactly what I needed. Thanks Raff.

Careless
SO anyword on what the different bearing sizes are and what the part numbers are??? I'm about 2 days out from ordering my bearing for my NEW r33 crank :> I didn't see that you had asked. I'll get on it when I get home. I know that the RB30 bearings are the same as the VG30 Bearings, but the journal size is 2 or 3 mm larger than the RB26, I fink. Sooooooo I just thought i'd mention it because I'm driving my Z31 now . But yah, I'll get on that tonight, and I'll export a PDF with all the bearing sizes for each year/engine/crank and I'll compile it into one doc and host it here in a thread. Careless
That would be awesome thanks. I didn't ask, i just saw it mentioned in this thread while i was SEARCHING around for info My PDF printer is acting up and my fonts aren't japanese and won't show japanese characters. Problems arise when trying to read the specs on the bearings too. The last number changes from a 0 to a 6, but they all say "STD" (no condom jokes please ) and it does not display any information about the size increase or decrease (no viagra jokes please ). I'm gonna go change the plugs, o2 sensor, and clean the engine on my z31 since the sun is out. I'll hit'cha back when I come in to do some more work on my computer.
