Guest Farkel
I'm looking at a 240z but the guy says it needs a new brake booster because the brakes don't work. It supposedly dried up from a leak or something. Is there anyone selling one by anychance? Thanks

essdeezee
I just got one from Rock Auto for about $120, will be $90 after I return the core. Good service, quick shipping.
JMortensen
Be aware that the early ones are different, and even the early early ones differ from the early ones. Around mid 71 I think they all evened out and went to the larger booster that was used all the way through 78.
two40zjunky
yeah be careful not to get the wrong size booster, its a pain in the a$$ when you finally get it to you door and you find out it's the 8 1/2 not the 7'' damn me and my quick purchases!!! RB26powered74zcar
Sorry, all I have is the tiny one that came on the first 240z. Its real small compared to all the other boosters I have had... I think the firewall bolt pattern is even smaller on the 4 bolts.
jt1
I would have to dig out some notes to be certain, but I'm pretty sure there are at least 6 booster variations on 1st gen Z's. A search might find more info, we've discussed it before. jt
