Gollum
Very cool. What software did you use? I assume you had it setup to auto take pictures every X amount of seconds/minutes. I recorded 90% of the pulling of my turbo motor, I even have all the video files sitting on my computer still I think. Just never got around to splicing it all up. HoustonZ
Here is the program I used. It took a picture every 10 seconds from a usb webcam. http://www.azcendant.com/ THE ENGINE FINALLY RUNS WELL!!!!!!!!! It took a lot longer then I thought. The process of swapping in the engine and getting everything hooked up took 3 evenings. I'm working 50 hours a week doing an engineering internship for the summer. Luckily it pays well. So after I got everything hooked up, I crossed my fingers and turned the key. It started on the very first crank! But then the problems started. It would not rev past 3000rpm and it was quite lazy getting there. I went through all the normal stuff. Electrical connections, AFM, TPS, coil, plugs, manifold gasket, vac leaks, and more. Well after 2 days of total frustration, I finally found the problem. After taking the valve cover off to check my valve lash, I noticed that the lobes didn't seem to be in the exact position that I remembered for TDC. I began to suspect that the cam was retarded by a tooth on the timing chain sprocket. So after rotating the sprocket by one tooth and putting everything back together, I tried again. AND IT WORKED!!! Runs like a champ now. Although L28et running N/A is a little sluggish.
