johnnyddn
I attached a pic of my fusible links and the one in the top left gets really hot. I was wondering what electrical items are connected to this link so I can diagnose why it's getting so hot.
Careless
did you replace it at all with a different colour link? I reckon there's supposed to be atleast 3 different colours to differentiate the different blow-out amperage.
johnnyddn
I didn't know they were supposed to be a different color. They are the links that were in there from the previous owner. I only noticed it because I brushed against them while my car was running and it burned me.

mario_82_ZXT
Pretty sure that's the headlight's fuseable link. Mario
ragefear
wait, you guys are serious? Those are fusible links? BUWAHAHAHA! I was looking at those tonite, I thought the previous owner replaced relays with straight wires to bypass them! Oh man! That's crazy, I guess I have a lot to learn! Anyway, mine are all the same color!
WizardBlack
Mine did the same thing. The fusible links were smoking; they got so hot. I found that the main power and ground wires are bundled together and running along the frame rail below those fusible links. Over the years they had rubbed against each other and against the frame rail until they were starting to contact. After all that, a chunk of current was running directly from power to the ground wire or to the frame rail. I'd suggest doing the upgrade (a la the atlanticz.ca site) before it catches on fire.
