m4xwellmurd3r
this probably isn't right, but I've never tried coloring a car with a paint like that
JSM
Is that the same color? If it is, don't do it Jeff! Unless of course you get some purple dinosaurs on there and we can call it the Barney Car! You could get your horn to play, "...I love you, you love me, watch me beat you with my Z..."
woldson
Oddly I like that alot. I did not think I would because I've seen that in a different tread. On the car not bad!
jeffer949
Thanks woldsen. And no that isnt what the clor looks like. That pops to much. its a much duller color in person. Also when the light is not on it its can almost look black. but it does give me a good idea. thanks alot

zedevan
hey jeff, personally i think that 'brickyard' colour would look awesome on an s30. We dont get 350z's in that colour in australia (not that i've ever seen anyway), but i came across pictures of on at some stage and thought it would look really nice with a cream interior - something my car has, and something i want to keep and therefore work around. unfortunately its near impossible to photoshop a metalic onto a car that has a flat colour, so my suggestion is to find an s30 that has paint which behaves in a similiar way and adjust it to match - the dark green on my car might work so i'll give it a shot and post it if it looks alright
zedevan
if i have time tomorrow i might play around with it some more. i tried another photo orginally and it didn't turn out so good lol, but i think this is fairly close although still needs more work on the colour in some areas and the black fadeoff i looked up other photos of 350z's in this colour and they all look different! but to me it seems like a nice modern interpretation of the maroon colour that came on fairlady's

Scottie-GNZ
Jeff, check the name on the title and that is the only person you should be asking if you should go with that color. Live YOUR dream.

I sent Jeff the "Barney" botched photo first. He's the one that told me to post it for fun. The one rendering or photo by Zedevan looked great! Careless
I think it looks nice, btw. I would consider giving it a different basecoat. Maybe a goldish, or a red-like basecoat.
jeffer949
Thanks zedevan. That honestly looks sweet. And that was a good picture to do it on considering i am zg'ing it and putting on fender mirrors. I know im the one that has to decide. This thread was more to just have some help with photoshoping.
