ragefear
gawd this sounds like a stupid question but I have never removed one before and I have no idea how I am supposed to get the damn thing off. I imagine I gotta rip thru the back of the firewall? I really don't know... I took the reservoirs off already
TrumpetRhapsody
You should be able to remove it using just the two (maybe four, can't remember, think it's just two) bolts holding it on, and unscrewing (had to use vice grips on mine) the brake line fittings. ragefear
wait, so if I already took the reserviors off with the bracket, the rest of it should just slide off along with it? So its just stuck from 30yrs of sitting there?
TrumpetRhapsody
Taking the reservoirs off is just to give you more breathing room, it's not a necessary step of removing the master cylinder. Where the master cylinder bolts up to the brake booster is what you're looking for.
loy
We're talking about the brake mc correct? The clutch mc is just a few bolts, line and the pin holding it to the pedal.
