kam
When I turn off my car the motor tries to keep running an sounds hoorible. My dad says its dieslising. It will run with the car off for 30-60 seconds or untill I stall it out, e-brake and dump the clutch. How could I fix this?
COmputoman
does it have carbs, or is it fuel injected? If its carbed try turning the round dials on the bottom of the carbs a half turn to the right each. If that doesnt work, try another half turn. This will lean out the mixture to your engine. less fuel means less chance of diesel. My engine use to do this. Ben

COmputoman
Nigel, that wiki article covers just about all of the things I was discovering when trying to solve my own dieseling issue. I wish I would have read that a long time ago! Ben

D1CNAR
almost 100 percent of the time that is from ♥♥♥♥ gas put higher octane gas in it you might have just leaned it out bad idea but it could have been the carbs if its running way hotter than normal or white smoke re adjust carbs and run higher octane
