howardmd
Hey everyone I have a question that I haven't seen on hz. My question or delema is I have a t56 tran out or a 1997 camaro lt1 block. Will or what will I have to do to make it work on a ls2 motor . I have heard to many different things from it just won't work to just drill a hole in the tran to configure with the bolt pattern of the ls2 block. I was told it just needs an extra hole to work. Let me know the truth so I can move on to what motor I will buy, thanks

Mike kZ
The input shafts of the T56 are different lengths between the LT1, and LSx motors. The Lt1 shaft is too short, and won't reach the crank of a LSx. Also the clutch mechanisms are different.
WizardBlack
Someone makes a conversion kit to bolt an LT T56 to an LS motor now. Check a domestic magazine or site out. I just saw it within the last 30 days. Try ls1tech.com.
