fastzcars
I've been on Nitto's R555 drag radial's (245x45x17) and I keep blowing threw them upon anything above 1500 RPM, and my 60 foot times are at 2.08's to 2.09's. I know suspension setup is important to cut a good launch. Springs are 175 lbs f and 200 lbs R. struts are 5 way adjustable tokicos set at 1 front and rear. Bushings are all solid heim joints, no rubber anywhere. She tracks nice and straight. So I've finally broken down and I bought some 235x60x15 M/T ET drag radials. Since alot of you guys seem to like them. My question is, what pressures and what RPMs do you guys launch at? and what 60 foots do you get? Any info you guys can provide would be great! Thanks!!!! janaka
my best with those exact tires was at 19psi cold and cut a 1.89 at 3500rpm. I then tried dropping from 4k with warm tires and well it left like a bat out of hell then i broke my half shaft, lol. It was at least a 1.7X based on the old butt-dynometer. heavy85
I pulled a 2.1 60' managing wheel spin through first and second on about 15 year old 225/65/15 Dunlap street tires leaving from idle. I'm surprised real tires dont do a lot better than that. Cameron
